Meet our team

Our small team brings together a shared commitment to providing compassionate, evidence based psychological care, with each of us contributing our own experience, knowledge and perspective to support the people we work with.

Dr Elizabeth (Lizzie) Osborn

Clinical Psychologist | Board Approved Supervisor | Co-Founder and Director

Lizzie provides evidence based psychological care to children, adolescents, and adults experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, emotional regulation difficulties, and complex life stressors. Her therapeutic approach draws on Schema Therapy, EMDR, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), grounded in trauma-informed and neuro-affirming practice.

Lizzie recognises the interconnectedness of thoughts, emotions, lived experience, and the nervous system, tailoring therapy to each person’s individual needs, strengths, and goals. She is committed to creating a collaborative therapeutic environment where individuals can develop greater self understanding and work towards meaningful change at their own pace.

Lizzie takes a holistic approach to psychological care, recognising the complex interplay between thoughts, emotions, bodily experiences, relationships and personal history. She understands that each person’s experiences are unique and shaped by their individual circumstances, and believes meaningful therapeutic work is grounded in compassion, curiosity and genuine connection.

Lizzie is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia with clinical endorsement and is a Board Approved Supervisor.

As co-founder and director of Embodied Psychology, Lizzie is committed to fostering a safe, welcoming, inclusive environment where clients feel heard, respected and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives.

Albert

Our Therapy Dog

Albert is our much loved three year old Sheepadoodle, who accompanies Lizzie at the practice and brings a gentle, comforting presence to the therapeutic environment.

Known for his calm, affectionate nature, Albert has a knack for offering quiet companionship, often wandering over for a cuddle when someone needs a little extra comfort. For clients who enjoy spending time with dogs, a pat, a playful moment, or simply having Albert nearby can help make the therapy space feel more relaxed and welcoming.

When he isn’t offering cuddles, Albert can usually be found enjoying one of his favourite pastimes, a peaceful nap under the couch.

Albert was named after Albert Bandura, the renowned psychologist best known for his work on social learning theory and self efficacy. It felt like a fitting name for a much loved member of our psychology practice!
